My Mess

On my cutting table, I have this photo of my sensei, Tomikiichiro Tokuriki. Sensei is sitting where I remember him drawing and carving his blocks. The other photos show the outside of his atelier in Kyoto, some of his woodcuts on the studio walls, the printer's work area, and my messy work area. I spent three mornings a week with him in 1974 and 1975. These photos are from slides taken during that time.
